For the past few years we’ve been hanging out with some friends who we travel to beer bars and brewpubs all over New England, we’ve been to many spots in Massachusetts and Connecticut as well as Portland, Maine and Brattleboro, Vermont. Last year we even spent a weekend in Montreal.
This weekends adventure was to New Haven, with our first stop being Delaney’s Taproom. I started the evenings debauchery with a Ithaca Flower Power IPA, following that up with an Ithaca Apricot.
We then moved onto Bar at Bru Room, where I had a Victory Hopwallop. I had a taste of some “toxic sludge” that was pretty yummy but the keg kicked before I got my pint.
Our third and final stop of the evening was Cask Republic, this place had an amazing tap list as long as my arm I would guess. Crazily enough we started off with the most expensive beer I’ve ever had. Brewdog Tactical Nuclear Penguin, this isn’t really a beer it’s more a spirit being 32% ABV. We ordered one 12 ounce bottle and split it between four of us. After that I had an Otter Creek Black IPA, a sample of Rogue Dead Guy Whiskey, a Brewdog Paradox and an Old Rasputin.
Crazy night!
